Cal State LA Athletics

Kamae was one of the best all-around swimmers in the history of Cal State L.A. aquatics.

An All-California State University & College selection in water polo in 1964, Kamae was a two-time state and regional champion in both the 100-yard and 200 backstroke (1964-65) and state champion in the 200 intermediate medley.

He earned a total of five All-America awards while at Cal State L.A.
